The healing journey at Desert Canyon begins as soon as you make your first call. Our compassionate and knowledgeable Admissions Director puts you at ease right a way. Your questions are answered thoroughly with the intention of helping you find the right program for you or your loved one. As soon as you have made the decision that this is where you would like to heal, there is an online application used to gather important personal information that helps make this a more individualized process. A deposit of $2000 holds your bed for you and a welcome letter is sent giving you a list of things to bring or leave behind and some basic information to put your mind at ease.

Admissions are done in the morning so you are able to get a full day of treatment from the beginning. This helps you to feel more at ease and helps with the transition into the program. Your admissions process is individualized to meet your needs and includes a tour of the facility, introduction to staff, and meetings with the Admissions Director and the Clinical Administrator to address any of your concerns. We want you to feel welcome and at ease during this often-stressful time so we make every effort to help ease this transition for you.

Clients are encouraged to bring their cell phones and laptop computers so they may maintain contact with their loved ones. Your life doesn’t stop just because you have entered rehab. By maintaining contact with the outside world you are challenged with the issues you will face upon discharge. This way you will have the skills to work through these issues with the support of our staff before you go home. Real practical skills will ease the transition back to your real life.
